Panther Book Exchange is open weekly for POV students to trade books for new titles. We recently purchased many new titles.

STAR is our daily reading program where the entire school reads from 8:30 – 8:45.  Older students are encouraged to practice their reading skills by reading to younger classes.

The Virginia Young Readers is a list of ten titles, selected by the Virginia State Reading Association, for students in grades K-2, 3, and 4-5.  Students who read four of the titles on their level get to vote for their favorite.  Votes are tallied and sent to Richmond.  Students who read all ten of the titles on their level are invited to an ice cream party in the Spring.
