The ACCELERATED READER PROGRAM (AR) offers reading enrichment and tests comprehension skills as students advance to higher reading levels. The Program rewards each student based upon his or her reading accomplishments, so that every student has the opportunity to succeed and be recognized for that hard-earned success.
Our library offers a multitude of AR books (more than 7,000 titles) that each student may check out and read. Once the book has been read, the student logs onto a computer and answers multiple choice questions designed to test the student's reading comprehension. After passing the reading comprehension test, the student is awarded points. After accumulating a certain number of points, the student receives recognition.
